Cosmetology

The Cosmetology Program provides comprehensive training in theory, practical skills, and hands-on performance throughout the 1,500 clock-hour program required for licensure in North Carolina. Students are trained in all phases of cosmetology, including haircutting, hairstyling, hair coloring, chemical texture services, skincare, nail care, sanitation, client services, and professional salon practices. Upon successful completion of the program, students are prepared to pursue the North Carolina State Board examinations and licensure as a professional cosmetologist.

Natural Hair

The Natural Hair Care Program provides comprehensive training in theory, practical skills, and hands-on performance throughout the 300 clock-hour program required for licensure in North Carolina. Students are trained in natural hair care techniques, including braiding, twisting, locking, styling, scalp care, sanitation, client services, and professional salon practices. Upon successful completion of the program, students are prepared to pursue the North Carolina State Board examinations and licensure as a Natural Hair Care Specialist.

Esthetics

The Esthetics Program provides comprehensive training in theory, practical skills, and hands-on performance throughout the 600 clock-hour program required for licensure in North Carolina. Students are trained in skincare services, including facials, skin analysis, hair removal, makeup application, facial treatments, sanitation, client services, and professional spa practices. Upon successful completion of the program, students are prepared to pursue the North Carolina State Board examinations and licensure as an esthetician.

Nail Technology

The Nail Technology Program provides comprehensive training in theory, practical skills, and hands-on performance throughout the 300 clock-hour program required for licensure in North Carolina. Students are trained in manicuring, pedicuring, nail enhancements, acrylic and gel applications, nail art, electric filing, sanitation, client services, and professional salon practices. Upon successful completion of the program, students are prepared to pursue the North Carolina State Board examinations and licensure as a nail technician.

Educator Training Program

The Educator Training Program provides comprehensive training in teaching theory, instructional techniques, lesson planning, classroom management, and hands-on teaching experience required to prepare licensed beauty professionals for a career in education. Students develop the instructional, leadership, communication, and classroom skills necessary to effectively train and mentor future beauty professionals. Upon successful completion of the required training, students are prepared to pursue the applicable North Carolina State Board requirements for instructor licensure and opportunities as professional beauty educators.The educator  program is as follows(800 hours) Cosmetology,  (650 hours) Esthetician, (320 hours) Manicuring and Natural hair Care clock hour time frame mandated by the NC State Board of Cosmetic Arts to acquire licensure needed to perform as a licensed educator in the state of North Carolina.

Our Educator Training Program offers flexible scheduling options designed to accommodate working beauty professionals. Students may choose between full-time and part-time enrollment while completing the required training hours.

Full-Time
8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Part-Time 
Part-time students must attend a minimum of three days per week, with Saturday required as one of the three attendance days. This flexible option allows students to advance their careers in education while balancing professional and personal commitments.

Business Mentorship & Coaching

Every student will be given the opportunity for mentorship, from group team building to personal job placement. Our mentorship offers a more hands on personal approach to your selected discipline. Exam readiness, career confidence, and advanced study referrals come as a standard part of your mentorship here at MTA.
