Work with Latonya W. Evans

Entrepreneur | Executive Leader | Educator | Accreditation Professional | Business Mentor

LaTonya W. Evans is an entrepreneur, executive leader, educator, and business mentor with more than 29 years of experience in the beauty industry, business ownership, education, and organizational leadership.

She is the Founder of the Millennium Brand and Co-Owner of Millennium Inc., alongside her husband, Ndongoi Evans. Together, they have developed and operated a diverse portfolio of businesses, including multiple salons, a licensed and accredited cosmetology school, and real estate investments.

LaTonya serves as the Owner and Director of Millennium Trade Academy in Greensboro, North Carolina. Since opening in 2020, the academy has experienced more than 35% growth since its first year of operation. Under her leadership, the institution has focused on preparing students for professional licensure while providing the technical education, professional development, and business knowledge needed to build sustainable careers in the beauty industry.

A licensed Cosmetologist and Cosmetology Instructor in the State of North Carolina, LaTonya earned her cosmetology license in 1998 after graduating from Leon’s Beauty School and later obtained her Cosmetology Instructor license through the North Carolina State Board of Cosmetic Arts. Her career has expanded from behind the chair to salon ownership, multi-business operations, postsecondary education, institutional leadership, and mentorship.

Her work in accreditation and institutional development has further expanded her commitment to educational excellence. Through accreditation involvement, school leadership, and collaboration with other education professionals, LaTonya brings a working understanding of institutional effectiveness, compliance, student outcomes, operational standards, and continuous improvement. She is committed to helping career schools maintain high standards while remaining focused on their primary mission: student success.

Her experience in both corporate America and entrepreneurship gives her a practical and multidimensional approach to leadership. She understands what it takes to move an organization from vision to execution—including developing systems, managing teams, strengthening operations, building a brand, creating accountability, and positioning an organization for sustainable growth.

As a business mentor, LaTonya works with aspiring and established entrepreneurs who need more than motivation—they need a strategy. Her mentorship emphasizes business structure, implementation, leadership, branding, marketing, customer experience, operational systems, and growth strategy. Her philosophy is straightforward: having the vision is only the beginning; successful leaders must know how to execute it.

As a speaker, LaTonya draws from nearly three decades of real-world experience to address topics including entrepreneurship, leadership, women in business, beauty-industry education, career-school leadership, mentorship, business growth, overcoming adversity, and building a lasting legacy.

At the foundation of her work are faith, family, education, service, and community impact. Whether developing future beauty professionals, mentoring entrepreneurs, strengthening educational institutions, or growing businesses, LaTonya’s mission is centered on creating opportunities that extend beyond individual success to produce lasting generational impact.

She calls that standard of leadership, service, and excellence “The Millennium Experience.”
